Tim Goertz
Tim is the founder of Aggressive Training. He started Aggressive Training in 1999 and incorporated the company in 2000. The first courses that Tim taught were H2S Alive and Standard First Aid.
His first clients were his peers in the petroleum industry corridor between Athabasca and Westlock. With seventeen years experience as a gas plant operator, Tim had the working knowledge of site conditions and hazards that his fellow operators faced every working day.
Safety training became his full-time focus in 2000 and Tim retains his working knowledge of the industry by returning periodically to work in the field. Tim has performed safety audits for employers, worked relief shifts for gas planet operators and was persuaded to become a construction inspector for two winter seasons, supervising gas plant construction and relocations. This hands-on work helps him stay up-to-date on the changing safety needs of the petroleum industry and keeps his teaching relevant to today's students.
Tim is currently consulting to one of Canada's largest energy companies and teaching for Aggressive Training on a part-time basis.
Helen McNaught Goertz
