Governing Body: Alberta Safety Council

(This is a DDC course for Class 3 & Class 1 licensed drivers)
The Defensive Driving program is a nationally recognized driver improvement program developed by the Canada Safety Council, for the benefit of drivers and employers of personnel who operate passenger size vehicles as part of their work tasks. Managers, fleet safety officers and administrators are encouraged to ensure that staff members who drive company vehicles; or drive personal vehicles on company business, complete a Defensive Driving Course at least every three years, as part of their due diligence in the promotion of corporate safety.
In addition, individuals who complete the student course may be eligible for a three-demerit point reduction on their driving record.
