Course Description

  • Get information about protection equipment, how to choose it and how to use it!

Brief: One day and multi-day programs are designed to give the recipients an understanding of working with fall protection equipment, knowing the requirements of applicable governing bodies, and performing hands-on skills. Students will be exposed to multiple systems, which can be applied to their particular site. Using a solid framework, to ensure consistency and standardization, this course will incorporate the needs of the group and each individual in attendance. The course includes anchorages, connectors, and full body harnesses.

Scope: These programs are intended to allow recipients to select and use appropriate fall protection systems to protect a variety of different fall hazards. Individuals who must use judgment skills in determining safe and effective anchors in conjunction with the proper fall protection equipment and techniques will benefit from this course. Scope and depth are determined using the checklist which follows on the next four pages.

Recipients: A typical attendee of this type of program will have exposure to multiple types of fall hazards. As an example, a maintenance worker, responsible for working in most areas of a plant site would attend this course.

Successful participants will receive a permanent certificate from Fall Protection Group, valid for three years.
